We have an official representative from HLG that will be active on the forum to answer your questions, several units that are coming for our official product testing grow and show's, and we'll be working together to provide better information on lighting in general!
Come say hello! We do too!! But we need your help to keep the servers running! If you feel like AFN has been useful in your journey and would like to help us pay some of the bills, we have a gofundme page setup for donations.
Any amount that you can spare will be gratefully received I have two of them growing two plants 18" right now. Grant it I am about to flower them so I am buying more light, but I think two should be sufficient with your other lights.
Good luck. Link to the "Sunblaze" thing? One type uses k light more readily and helps the plant vegetate and keeps nodes tight. The other type uses k more readily and seems to help produce things the plant needs to make buds. Those will work perfect for vegetative growth of a single plant.
Some say it is beneficial to mix at all times though, say 2 k and 1 k for veg. I can't get any lights untill sat. I think a week would be okay. I mean, as long as you are not messing up the light cycles they should be fine. Keep us updated, good luck. Am using all 27k with whole grow and am on the 2 week and i have 2 set of new nodes and healthy plant plus am using mg soil 6 month and 3 13 watt cfl and one 26 watt cfl and for flower am gone add 2 more 26 watt to equal watts of cfl which is enough.
I vegged for 2 weeks with k w, mine did just fine. Working great. Charfizcool said:. T5 Grow Light : Distance From Plants To begin with, hang it about 4 to 6 inches above the tallest plant , for vegging or flowering. The T5 fluorescent grow light distance for seedlings should be a bit further away.
I 'd start by hanging the light 6 to 10 inches from seedlings. You may have heard that one big drawback of LED grow lights is flowering time. They simply take longer to flower. They often don't have enough power to bloom , or they simply have an ineffective spectrum.
The reason HPS bulbs flower so well is a light spectrum that is heavy in red. The advantage of of K for veg is that your get tighter internodes, which gives you a more balanced distribution of light over the colas later. A mid-way K start-to-finish is a good balance of the two.
The higher the Degrees Kelvin , the whiter the color temperature. Ceramic metal halide bulbs are the only other lights that have a nice full spectrum with good amounts in every wavelength. The optimal light would be to lumens per square foot. If the plant only requires minimum lighting, it should be approximately lumens per square foot.
For the mid-range measurement, it should be approximately lumens per square foot. Different color light helps plants achieve different goals as well. It is good to mix some k in when flowering too, they still need their blues. Especially for the initial flower stretch when u start flowering stage. And thank u so much for helping brother i have not one person to ask.
He will see it since I tagged him. After you switch to flowering, the plants will produce better with more red light.
