Scar of the Bat 's Ness was forced to operate under police restrictions, so he created a masked vigilante costume to operate outside of the law.
His costume was inspired by the movie The Bat much like Batman's creation and he became known as the Bat-Man after he debuted using a wooden bat, though he ultimately upgraded to an era-appropriate Tommy Gun. Stricken with grief after losing all of his Robins in his fight on crime, he decided to steal The Flash's speed as he felt he could put it to better use. He took out Flash's rogues and stole their gear so he could capture Barry Allen , and then he merged his Batmobile with the Cosmic Treadmill and drove it into the Speed Force with The Flash strapped to the hood.
The Red Death used Allen's super-speed to kill his own rogues, though he's still forced to deal with Barry Allen's conscience that is trapped in his brain. The victims were slashed on their throats by an unidentified homicidal maniac.

I would hate to be any one of Batman's villains if they have to worry about the equivalent of a battering ram to the face anytime they're up to no good. No wonder Jared Leto'sJoker has that grill; Bat-teringman probably knocked all his teeth out with one punch. We also have to remember that this is an older Batman, whose body is worn down from years of abuse. It really makes you wonder how strong he was when he was in his prime. How many battering rams equals a young Bruce Wayne punch? Batman probably achieved such physical strength through years of training, which we saw a little of in the film.
